Second Homework

UNIDAD 3: INSTRUCTIONS FORMALES & INFORMALES
Activity: Here's another recipe from Carrie. This one is for a snack called "Stripy Tigers". For each instruction choose the correct linking word or phrase. For help you can listen to Carrie. You can also download the activity in printable form along with the audio from the links below the exercise.
1°- To begin with cut as many slices of bread as you need - white bread is best. Not too thin or it will end up soggy.
2°- Then grill some rashers of bacon.
3°- While the bacon is grilling, break 2 eggs in to a bowl.
4°- Next add about 142 millilitres of milk and beat the milk and the eggs together.
5°- Then dip the bread in to the bowl of eggs and milk and leave for a few seconds to soak up the mixture.
6°- After you've done this heat some oil in a frying pan
7°- When the oil is hot  take the bread out of the bowl and put it in to the frying pan
8°- Once the bread is golden brown on both sides take it out of the frying pan. Eat while it's hot, topped with the rashers of bacon. If you don't like bacon, try spreading on some jam or tomato ketchup!

Exercise 3: Complete the sentences
Excuse me, can you tell me how to get to Mornington Crescent?
Yes, certainly. Go straight along this road until you reach the traffic lights. A the traffic lights, go straight across. At the next set of lights, turn left and carry on along the High Street until you come to a mundabout. At the roundabout, take the first exit and Mornington Crescent is the second road on the left.  If you have any problems, ask again. Everybody knows Mornington Crescent.

Exercise 6: How to make "clafoutis"
1°- Preheat your oven to 200 degrees C
2°- Remove the stones from 750 grams of ripe cherries
3°- Beat six eggs with a pinch of salt
4°- Add 90 grams of sugar and 100 grams of flour mixe in a few drops of vanilla essence
5°- Gradually mix in litre of milk
6°- Pour the minute into a greased flan dish and then add the cherries on top.
7°- Cook for 45 minutes and serve warm

No, I couldn't because she knew you were coming. I suppose I could have said that there was no room in the car because there were already four of us.
No, you couldn't. She knows I've got a big car with space for six. But you could have said already had tickets for the exhibition and you couldn't get any more.
I couldn't have done that, that's very mean. I had to say yes!
